The chances are rather high dear. If cancer misses you, then you could also die from emphysema, another common tobacco caused disease. It is a rather unpleasant way to go. Basically you drown from the inside….

Would growing and smoking my own tobacco be safer than smoking factory made? Since it doesnt have the rat poison and all that stuff?

I know that commercial tobacco uses bug spray and other adulterants.
If you have the patience and know-how to grow your own, why not?

i really want to grow tobacco at home, its something my family used to do, but when my great grandpa died it all stopeed. im 14 and im really serious about doing this. for family tradition and i love to smell and taste of homegrown tobacco!

I bought my seeds from New Hope Seed Company. I think they have the best prices and selection, but visit their website and decide for yourself. I don’t think there are any age restrictions for buying seeds. Some people simply grow tobacco for the beauty of the plants. New Hope charges $1.99 for 100 seeds, although you get much more than 100, nobody actually counts them.
My plants are only about 2 inches tall right now and will be ready to go in the ground in about 3 weeks. You will love growing your own tobacco and reviving that family tradition.
