Does anyone have any good advice for growing mushrooms?

I have checked out a few kits but mainly alot of feedback says to jsut do it on your own without the kit. Idk – jus wonderin if anyones tried the kits or if theyve done it on their own.

Mushrooms are easy to grow
i have just bought myself 2 kits

its way easier than buying spores etc and the kits are fabulous,
you have everything you need and detailed instructions

i just got mine from B&Q, under £5 each, and that gives 3-4 crops
to buy this seperately, the spores alone are £4, then you need both composts and a suitable container and lid to keep them in the dark

go for a kit EVERYTIME

Mother’s day gifts for a ‘green’ mother?

I’m trying to think of what I can get for my mother for mother’s day. Our whole family thinks a lot about the environment and she and I are vegan. Here are past gifts I’ve bought her:

Grow your own mushroom kit
Quite a few charity gifts (sponser a dog etc)
Green living books

So does anyone have any ideas of what I can get her this year? Maybe something environmentally friendly for the house? Useful gifts are preffered (eg not bath salts, cosmetics or decorations etc) Thanks :o)

Where can I find information on the nutrition and how to cultivate different mushrooms?

I love mushrooms and my wife is moving us toward a diet with less meat and dairy (per her research on nutrition including having read The China Study), so I thought it would be fun to cultivate mushrooms. Maybe Shiitake and Portablella but before we choose which, I would like help in determining which have the most health benefits (including if you cook them do you remove their benefits) and which you can grow on your own.

I make plans but don’t go through with them. Why? How can I start living??

i make all sorts of plans. i have a list of goals. it’s like a hobby, maybe i’ve got OCD.
Doesn’t matter. some of these plans/goals will probably do me some good, i just never get around to going through with them.
e.g. i wanted to start a herb garden. got as far as researching, jotting down the easiest and most useful ones to grow and even checking the prices of the seeds at the grocers etc. but never got around to actually buying anything.
and my “sweet sixteen” birthday party? never happened
why can’t i just start living these plans and achieving these goals i’ve made for myself? what are the psychological reasons? what’s wrong with me?!
and HOW can i overcome this?
well, that’s kind of the problem. i make lists. LOTS of them. they just… don’t happen.

Is this legal in singapore?

i live on sentosa and i noticed that most houses have small gardens that are pretty easy to take care of and require a gardener to come once or twice a month. Im 14 and im a bit short on pocket money i thought i would be able to make some money by gardening houses around sentosa cove, i already gardened my neighbors house for aroung 30 dollars, i also made a few flyers but i didn’t send them out yet, im not really sure if this is legal, is it? please help,

garden it made me angry threw it back and then she threw a whole load over me, i called her a selfish cow, she said its your rubbish from a wasteland, her so called freinds husband who she is having an affair with was giggling as well, i said i pity you, i am waiting for the police to come but I hate living her its not easy to get a move, i would never do that to anyone, what do you do with these types

You need to realize that what your doing is what she needs. Some people thrive on negativity. You need to become indifferent to her. Why get dragged into her wasteland. If she trashes your property than set up a camera and turn her into police

Why does my screen go blank when I try and send gifts or request help from my neighbors on gardens of time?

I have been playing gardens of time for a couple of months and my screen started just going blank everytime I try and send gifts or request help from my neighbors. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? I thought it was the game but it looks like it is my system…..

Our real estate office hosts a gardening contest and we usually buy 60 gifts either patriotic or something to do with gardening.
