I dry flowers. How can I grow enough flowers quick enough to adequately last all autumn?
I’m starting a dried flower business. Luckily, I work at a flower shop, so I can take the old flowers from there. But I still need a garden to supply myself with the necessary flowers. Is there any way to constantly have fresh flowers ready for harvest?

How many acres for a small/medium sized farm?
I want to have a farm that would include the following:
-one dairy cow, possibly an occasional calf for meat
-two or three horses
-eight to ten alpacas
-six chickens
-a house with min. 4bed/2.5bath
-barn/sheds
-plenty of walking room/yard
-large garden to supply crops year-round, including fruit trees
How many acres would be best?

Maybe 10+ acres? Lots of wiggle room on this – and lots of fencing.
A “real” small to medium farm? 100 to 500 acres.
Just for curiosity, look into the size of financially successful farming operations, growing marketable products.
Never neglect one basic, seemingly growing more important all the time: water supply.
In some areas, check out having more fallow land to harbor game birds and animals, then charging access to hunters or guides. Serious money.
And learn how to “put up” food.

Is there a program which matches people with land/yards with people who know how to garden? in California?
I had heard about a program in CA San Jose which matches people who enjoy gardening with people with backyards suitable for a victory garden.
Can you remember the name or contact information?
I am looking for someone to plant and cultivate a victory garden. Will supply the food, water and treated soil and split the crop?
