I live in 5b gardening zone.in mid-central Ohio
here the wild orange day lily grows up to 36 to 48 inches tall. They can grow in a container but as Cat wrote it needs to be quite large perhaps on the order of 2 to 21/2 feet deep
there are a bunch of faux planters on the market (made from resin covered foam) which would fit your needs and not wreck your back when moving them.

I’ve just got into gardening, I was wanting a graph or information on when to plant things. I really like vegatable gardens. I was thinking about starting a winter garden, I just don’t know where to start. I’ll be really greatful for any help.
