how do you grow your own mushrooms from wild mushrooms you have found

Best way that I know of is to go for a spore full mushroom (as mature as possible get it and surrounding area out with a spade and carefully transport to your cellar (or dark damp area) in a box (not cardboard) and water frequently.

Get a cow. The mushrooms tend to grow in the feces. Sheep will work, too.

You can buy kits and spawn plugs. There is even a site that sells a kit to turn part of your yard into a “morel habitat”. I’ve grown them off and on over the years, will be doing it again this fall on the north side of my garage. A buddy is going to get me fresh willow logs in October for spawn plugs.
