Gardens ?????

There Are Tv Shows That Give You A Chance To Win A Makeover For Your Garden

Can You Give Me Some Websites So I Can Submit My Garden

Thanks xxx

GardenersCardiff answers:

Try hgtv.com. You can sign up if you want to be in any of their shows. Most of the shows do ask for a budget from you since they only supply the designer and an added thousand dollars (or less) to your already existing budget.

If you are planning to do it anyway and pay for it then it would be a good idea since they help with the planning, execution and all that other stuff.

Growing Weed Tips for Beginners

Have you tasted a yum joint lately, and wondering how to grow such a yield? If you are contemplating growing weed, and keeping it a secret; our list of handy tips will let your passion for green grow into full bloom.

Good seeds lead to healthy growth

Buy seeds from a trusted retailer who knows well the property of his product and grow your own weed. You will be disappointed, if you are experimenting with some anonymous variety of weed. Good seeds are what you require for a suitable indoor growth, more than the environment in which, the plant is growing.

Proper space and lighting

Divide the closet into two halves with one smaller in size than the other. Ensure proper lighting like fluorescent tubes for growing weed in your closet. Also you would need 250 or 400 Watt bulb during the flowering period. It is important that you transplant the weed after 3 weeks into a larger pot and expose it to lighting 12 hours a day.

Maintain proper temperature

Use a small fan to exhaust air from your closet when the lights are switched on. This will gently blow on the growing weed plants, and also maintain a cool temperature inside the closet.

Jenny asks…

I’m thinking of growing my own garden next year and I need some advice!?

Well I’m 14 and i was thinking of growing my own garden next summer and selling the produce for some extra cash. What kind of plants sell/grow well and how much should I charge for them. Also, where are good places to sell the produce?
ilive in chicago illinois.

GardenersCardiff answers:

If you’re not too experienced in gardening (as I would guess since you are 14). Some of the easier plants to grow are carrots and radishes. You could sell them with the upper parts still attached and you you could sell them in bunches of 10 for $1.50-$2.00 range. You should plant a lot of them and fill your garden with both. Cucumber is a favorite that people buy but the season is short and you probably will have them to sell for about 5 weeks. You Could sell them for $1.00 for 2 or 3. I used these plants because they require the least amount of maintenance but don’t forget to weed frequently and cucumbers like to get watered especially during hotter days.
BTW, here is a secret ……..if you want to save money on seeds. In September and October go to all the garden centers in your area and buy out all the seeds you plan to grow cause they sell them at clearance then for anywhere from 10-25 cents a pack. If you keep them in a cool and very dry environment ( not the refrigerator) 90 % of them should grow fine. And you will save considerably on your seed cost.

Edit add: Hey kid where’s my thumbs up?

Steven asks…

Is Building Robots To Grow Weed For You Illegal?

If I technically build my own robot to grow weed for me out in a forest where nothing lives nor goes by it, is it illegal?

Because technically I’m not the one planting it, it’s the robot that is planting it and growing it which I programmed it to do on it’s OWN, NOT ME.

Will it also be illegal if I program it to sell weed for me? And bring me the cash to my front door?

Thanks.

GardenersCardiff answers:

You are the one controlling the production, you are the one who will take the product, you will be the one arrested.

Maria asks…

What can I grow in my greenhouse?

Hi there, we have recently moved into a new house that has a greenhouse in the garden. I’ve always fancied growing my own vegetables / herbs / chilles etc and now is the perfect opportunity.

What realistically can I grow in my greenhouse. I love red chillies, jalapenos and all herbs, rosemary, basil etc.

Also me being a newbie to this, what are the easiest to grow?

Thanks in advance!
Thank you very much for the advice. I’ll grab myself a book I think.

GardenersCardiff answers:

I find my greenhouse is at its most useful in spring, when I’ve got lots of little seedling plants and cuttings growing on which can’t be planted out until the danger of frost has passed, in June. When they all get planted out, there’s a lot more room, and I can then give more room to my tomatoes. I also grow early strawberries (Mae, from Marshalls) in pots because in the warmth they fruit in May, as their name suggests. I grow most veg outside when possible, less trouble to water etc, but you could grow any semi-tropical plants that might not like the unreliable British summer, such as cucumbers, aubergines peppers and your favourite chillies etc. Most herbs would grow best outside as it would be too hot in a greenhouse and they need the fresh air, but you could certainly start off the tender ones, like basil, from seed early on and then move them out in June. In a greenhouse you’ll probably avoid some of the problems like tomato blight which affect outdoor plants, but in its place you’ll get pests such as red spider mites and aphids, which like the warm sheltered conditions.
There are lots of books on greenhouse growing – try the public library for ideas, or browse online.
