Hoarding canned goods? Growing you own food stuffs and canning? Hunting/Fishing? America is not prepared for a food shortage. People in the high rise apartments in the urban areas may well starve. The new currency will be growable land

I’m not doing anything drastic like hoarding food (maybe I should). But I am “being careful” how I spend my money. I am foregoing a lot of frivolous purchases and focusing on getting my house paid off, which is my only debt. If I can accomplish that over the next few years without incurring more debt or depleting my cash reserves, I think I’ll survive. Of course, we never know what tomorrow will bring.

No, we don’t have to grow our own food to stay healthy. It is more on having a healthy diet; knowing what, when, and how much to eat.

I want to start teaching the children about growing your own food. I live in NW uk and just wondered where do i start? how do i find allotments to rent etc?

Allotments are rented out by your local council, so get in touch with them. Your local council will have their phone numbers in the telephone directory going by different departments and such like. I don’t know what department allotments would come under but the local council should have a general enquiry number as well, so they would inform you.
And I hope you get your project going, it sounds like a good idea!
