Mandy asks…

How can I protect my graden from bugs?

I had made a garden last year and this is only my second time. The first time it went well, until the end of the season when it was slaughtered by bugs.

My garden is just veggies and my peppers, which are in the back row closest to the trees and bushes, are getting eaten up even though the season has barley started for me. I really need a cheap and easy way to get these annoying critters to go away and i don’t know what type of bugs they are! I’d really prefer a natural way to solve this but if you can’t think of one that’s fine. Please reply soon.

Sincerly,
A Gardener In Need Of Help

GardenersCardiff answers:

One thing that really works is sprinkling lemon juice over the garden. Most bugs don’t like it, so they stay away. My dad had a similar problem in his garden and the lemon juice helped. The lemon juice also doesn’t harm the plants or people so it is completely safe to use around small children.

Linda asks…

Was it Gods initial plan for us to leave the garden?

…since He made it unavoidable.Unavoidable in that Adan and Eve were innocents, they knew not what they were getting into.No loving parent would condemn his innocent children for making one mistake.
I wanted a real gun when I was six thankfully my parents knew better, they didn’t tempt me with loaded guns all over the place within easy reach…
It is easy enough to surmise why He would kick us out of the nest, same reason any loving parent does,to give us our freedom, tough love or not…

GardenersCardiff answers:

God did know that Adam and Eve would sin, but his fore-knowledge doesn’t mean that it was his plan. God gave every human a free-will to either sin or not sin. God created us so that we could have fellowship with him. He did not create a people of robots, but a people that had the choice to obey him or not.

God knew from the very beginning that he would have to send his Son Jesus to earth to become the perfect sin sacrifice for the sins of humanity. He did so because in spite of our rebellion against him and while yet we were his enemy he loved us enough to sent his Son, who is God, to die in our place. He wanted to have that relationship with us that much.

Jesus bridged the chasm that sin created that separated man from God. All we have to do is accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, confess or sins, repent, and follow him. The shed blood of Jesus was God’s perfect plan from the very beginning to redeem a people unto himself.

Joseph asks…

Not getting into a mess?

I had a dog before, (I may get another) – maybe my disability made it a little difficult, but maintaining a clear garden wasn’t that easy, does anyone have any good tips, tricks or “gadgets” for making sure the garden is manageable

Thanks.

GardenersCardiff answers:

Teach the dog to use only one part of the garden as a toilet. Since I have larger dogs, I use an “apple picker” to clean up. I can rake all the stool into a pile and pick it all up with one scoop. It goes through grass and gravel very easily.
