With the growing success of companies like Jac Vanek, where the main product is just a simple rubber bracelet with a word on it, I’ve decided this is something I’d like to do myself. I just can’t think of a product! Any ideas?
Unless you have an that springs to mind immediately you could still get started by utilising the services of a dropshipper…

I know to make alcohol its simple as sugar/water/yeast. But as for beer can you grow everything you need other than the yeast? I never made beer before I only ever made wine.
Its almost summer so planting a garden soon so wondering if I can plant what is needed to make beer.
If you have the land and the time to grow a field of barley I guess you could grow your own. Then you’re going to have to malt it, which is an art in and of itself.
Hops are a climbing vine. Typically when you purchase hops there is an IBU (international bitterness units) or AA (alpha acids) number on the package that helps you determine how much to use to achieve the right amount of bitterness for the style you’re brewing. When you grow your own you either won’t know the AAs or you’ll need analytical equipment to find it.
Yeast is fairly easy to cultivate. People who want to keep it long term without having to feed it constantly make slants with it. You can keep a library of hundreds of different yeast strains that way.
Most people who grow something for their beer grow hops. You might have missed the window on ordering rhizomes. They’re typically only sold in the early spring.
Ken asks…
Who knows of a supplier of fresh hops who is willing to sell in smallish quantities at a decent price ?
Looking for UK supplier and not a home brew shop,Trying to reduce costs
Its illegal to ship agricultural products over many international borders without inspections.
Your best bet is to look locally many home brewing stores have started selling fresh hops… Many have.
You will have to find a hop farm near you in the UK then… Which there are a few, but they are unlikely willing to sell direct since there could be laws against this, and the cost savings will probably be pretty minimal.
Your only real way to save money is going to be growing your own hops, which a lot of home brewers have started doing.
