Thomas asks…

Does magic exist? question out of boredom?

This is a boredom question but I am curious and just wasting random points and my dad believes in magic, he has books on it and everything but sometimes he acts weird so I’m just *in a stupid way* getting some proof for myself

GardenersCardiff answers:

Nothing magical exists. I wish that wasn’t true. So does everyone. Why else would the Harry Potter series be so popular? Ghosts don’t exist. Neither do UFOs, gods, unicorns, Bigfoot, the Loch Ness monster, garden gnomes, mind reading, telekinesis, everything that was on X files and is now on Fringe. I hate that none of these things exist, I absolutely hate it. There is no intelligent life on Mars. Everything and I mean everything that you wish existed but they haven’t been able to find proof, doesn’t exist. The Bermuda Triangle (in terms of unexplained activity) doesn’t exist. Even Atlantis doesn’t exist. (That really bothers me). While there is probably intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, they are probably too far away for us to ever get together. If they were close enough SETI would have already heard of them.

Sharon asks…

A Harry Potter survey! Answer if you’re still loyal to the series ;)?

okay…here goes!

1. Most stylish character?

2. Character with horrible attitude?

3.Peeves shouldn’t have been left out of the movies…yes or no?

4.If you would be a teacher at Hogwarts, what would you teach?

5.Do you think fairies ,dwarves, and pixies should have been included in the story?

6.In your opinion, apart from the places like Britain,Egypt,Bulgaria,France, etc. as shown in the story,
what other countries,do you think, are associated with magic?(Regard to HP series)

7.Who would be YOUR ideal Minister of Magic?

8.Most interesting Death-eater?

9.Favourite magical creature?

10.Who do you think was more mentally unstable?Peeves,Bellatrix Lestrange,or Umbridge?

11.Was this survey fine?I’m getting out of touch…

star if you enjoyed!

GardenersCardiff answers:

1. Luna definitely. Because she doesn’t care what others think, she just goes with her own style and reflects the awesome person she is.

2. Pansy Parkinson. I read an interview with JK Rowling that Pansy represents that one girl in school that is mean to everyone. She is supposed to be the polar opposite of Hermione, according to JKR.

3. Peeves should have been kept in the movies!! Peeves adds more fun to Hogwarts. I love when he sings at the end of the series after Voldemort is killed:
“We did it, we bashed them, wee Potter’s the one,
Now Voldy’s gone moldy so now let’s have fun!”

4. I would teach Arithmancy because it is like a wizard’s math. And I am good at math.

5. Naw, JK Rowling, while adding some mythical creatures that were not her own, made up plenty of mythical creatures that were very original. (Besides, pixies were in the second book, with Lockhart)

6. Albania is quite important because that is where Voldemort finds the Diadem. Also, Ireland is associated with magic because lots of the folk tails and myths JKR made reference to originated from there.

7. Donald Trump. He would not hire anyone to work at the ministry that wasn’y up to the job.

8. Bellatrix. She is just so utterly evil and twisted and completely off her rocker. She is crazy and the one with the most personality.

9. Gnomes. Because they are so funny and when they bite you, they supposedly give you special powers (according to the Lovegoods). Besides, de-gnoming the garden doesn’t sound like an annoying chore, it sounds like an absolute blast!

10. Umbridge, because when she lost control, she did not know what to do (with the centaurs in book 5). Bellatrix would never back down, not even if she would be sent to Azkaban. And Peeves is only afraid of the Blood Baron, and you can’t really blame him for that.

11. This survey was fun!

Your Questions About Gardening http://gardenerscardiff.co.uk/your-questions-about-gardening-839/ http://gardenerscardiff.co.uk/your-questions-about-gardening-839/#respond Sun, 22 Jun 2014 20:05:03 +0000 http://gardenerscardiff.co.uk/your-questions-about-gardening-839/

Helen asks…

How do you make a spell work?

If you made ur own spell how do you make it work?

GardenersCardiff answers:

First you need to find Bigfoot and then the Loch Ness Monster. Once you do that you need a hair from bigfoot and a scale from Nessie.

Then take one of your mom’s finest cooking pots and put some oil and vinegar in it. Light a fire in the backyard and put the pot on it to boil. Once it’s boiling throw the ingredients in. Then sipn around 7 times to the west and 7 times to the east. Jump once, hop twice. Then say the words backwards and then forwards. Et Voila!

Now sake the rocks out of you head and grow up. This isn’t Disneyland.

Sandra asks…

Is anyone else sick of chain restaurants and wondering where all the great mom & pop shops went?

I grew up in Massachusetts and there were TONS of little family owned restaurants that were 100 times better food and better service then stupid chains like Applebee’s. I moved to Arizona and there are none here! It’s all chains and fast food, it’s so sad…
Do you like the crappy chains or do you miss the good old mom & pop family run restaurants? Where are your favorites?

GardenersCardiff answers:

Im with you on that i miss the little mom and pop old fashion cooking restaurants now we have dennys and i hop gross when i was younger and was in oklahoma we had connies dinner awesome food and great people didnt help that my family owned it but we couldnt keep up with all the new chains so they closed it

Linda asks…

What is your personal prognosis for the survival of man on this planet?

Add the discovery of “viral hemorrhagic septicema” in the waters of the Great Lakes to the ever-growing list of man’s complete neglect of, and disrespect for his environment. The murderous legacy that we are leaving our children–it amounts to their own murder, let’s not kid ourselves!! If we as a species do not start concentrating on the vital importance of the detoxification of our precious eco-systems, we won’t even have a “carpet” to sweep anything under any more!
Is it SERIOUSLY more important for us to study the mating rituals of Brad and Angelina, as opposed to those of our remaining threatened and unthreatened species of life??! Are we so ignorant and so callous that we CONTINUE our one-way path to destruction?? Or will we fight side by side WITH ONE ANOTHER to combat the daily discovery of our ecologic atrocities??!

Teach your children well…

GardenersCardiff answers:

Umm… This seems more like a statement than a question.

Obviously it is more important to the majority of people to study the mating habits of Brangelina than worry about the environment. Otherwise you wouldn’t even have to bring it up. Is it the smartest thing to be worried about? Probably not.

But if you consider the fact that China is just now ushering itself into it’s industrial age, what would really be the point of Americans cleaning up their act? China has at least another 30 years of destroying the environment before it decides to think green. May as well keep an eye on how often Brad and Angie are hopping on the good foot and doing the bad thing.

To really make a difference, there’d have to be some form of global policy that everyone would adhere to. Something tells me that isn’t going to happen.

Prognosis: we’re fuct.
