How do I get rust out of a small engine for a home made built go-kart?
I have recently acquired a small and, probably home made go-kart chaise. I am wanting to get it functional for future use. I have a motor and I know I need a clutch, a chain, and a throttle cable, possibly brakes. The motor I have found is an old 5hp garden tiller and after looking over the mechanics I have found that the inside of the gas tank is covered in rust (not a dusty kind of rust). It will run but I don’t want to harm the motor by running it for too long in this condition. I am looking for an easy, relatively fast, and cheap way to get rid of the rust. Any ideas? Plus if you have any other help, ideas, and/or assistance to get my go-kart running it will really help and would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you are old enough to buy it or you may need your parents to do so there is a gallon can of Carburator cleaner that is used to soak carburators in. Remove the tank and soak it in the cleaner and let is set for a day or two then blow out the tank with compressed air. If there is still bad rust in it then you will have to replace it. Might find a usable one from a small engine/lawnmower repair shop.

Thing of building a TIKI BAR?
Hi we are thinking of building a Tiki Bar in our garden. Has anyone made one in the UK? If so, i know it depends on the size but roughly how much did it cost? Last but not least was it quite easy to make? Thanks x
