Steven asks…

One day while Father was away at work, a knock came at the door of the family’s home.?

One day while Father was away at work, a knock came at the door of the family’s home. Mother opened the door and found a stern man with sharp teeth and a very pointy nose standing on the doorstep.

“May I help you?” Mother asked.
“I am here,” snarled the man, “to inspect your home and your children.”
Mother was surprised. “Whatever for?” she asked.

“It has been reported,” snapped Mr. Pointy Nose, “that you do not institutionalize your children, as is the norm. It has been reported that you spend an abnormal amount of time with your children, and you have been seen laughing with them, and they with you. It has been reported that your teen child is not embarrassed to be seen with you and that she smiles while working in your garden and hanging laundry. I will have to inspect your house and ask you some questions.”

Mother invited Mr. Pointy Nose in and offered him a cup of tea. Mr. Pointy Nose pulled a great pile of papers from his briefcase and began asking important questions: “How many television sets do you own, how often do you dine out, why do you have so many books, what do you have against institutions, why do you grow your own food, do your children know who Madonna is, how about Beavis and Butthead?”

GardenersCardiff answers:

Ya, we can all see faults huh? So easy to be Inspectors… And Dictators… In life…

That is how I see this… Like a parable with a moral…

🙂 Good one!

Donna asks…

Does this sound like a tea cup yorkie scam?

I recently was looking for a new small dog as a pet and came across an ad in a classified. I emailed the guy giving the dog up for adoption and this is what he wrote me back.

Hello,
Thanks for the inquiry in regards of the baby girl Angel.she is still
available and up for adoption.
Angel is 12 weeks old very healthy with a great personality and lot of
skills. She is home raised and kid friendly & also gets along well with
other pets.
She has been vet examined,AKC registered, potty trained and current on
all her shots. She will be very healthy at maturity when fully
grown.Angel is very obedient and has been trained to walk on leash
during the day when she intends to go out for a walk. She weights 2lbs
and when she is fully grown she expected to weight about 4lbs
She is now available and ready for adoption..We look forward only to a
caring home where she can be spoil rotten. We loved this Girl so badly
and giving her out for adoption is due to the fact that we could no
longer give her all the care she deserves from us..
We would like to let you know why we want to get rid of her.
My wife and i are missionaries and we recently relocated from the
State to Cameroon for an evangelical tour that will last for about
three months and we took along our baby puppy with us just
for companionship since she is our only child.
Our mission and tour here could not give us enough time to take
care of her and we look forward to give her out for an adoption fee of
$280..00.She is ready with all her records and toys.she is going to come
along with a one year health guarantee certificate.we will be shipping
Angel from here which is going to take less than a day for her to reach
you.we will be needing the following infomation from you.
Full names?
Home address?
Closest airport to your location?
Permit us asked you some few questions.
1…Have you lived with YORKIES before?
2.If you adopt her are you going to treat her like your own child.
Reply us back,we will get back to you with more pics of Angel..
Thank you
God bless

After reading a lot about the scams that are going on similar to this I was just wanting to make sure this is one, because I’d really like a small puppy like this. I was really about to consider getting the puppy but then read a lot about the scams and I am not going to get it now.

GardenersCardiff answers:

ALL ‘teacup’ dogs are a scam, and this one even more than most. It’s called the Nigerian scam, and it is common. Report them to the police and forget aobut them. Get a dog from a rescue or a responsible breeder. A responsible breeder will:

1) be breeding to the breed’s standard..no teacup, micro, mini, imperial,
king, or other goofy term for runts or oversized dogs. No intentional
“rare”, meaning unaccepted by the breed standard, colors either.

2) will be actively showing or working the parents.

3) will have genetic health testing done, such as OFA or PennHip, CERF,
VonWillebrand’s, etc.

4) will give you the results of that testing in writing

5) insists on spay/neuter for pet pups.

6) has a contract citing the spay/neuter clause and also offering to take
back the pup at any time for any reason for the rest of its life.

7) is open, honest, and available to the new owner, and can talk aobut their
breed for hours.

8) does a home check before placing a pup, and will turn down homes that
might not be suitable for a pup of their breed.

9) does not put money above the well-being of their animals.

If the breeder you are considering doesn’t fit these guidelines, find a
better breeder. You are more likely to get a mentally and physically
healthier pup from a responsible breeder.

Maria asks…

Do Christian families need help in homeschooling their children?

One day while Father was away at work, a knock came at the door of the family’s home. Mother opened the door and found a stern man with sharp teeth and a very pointy nose standing on the doorstep.

“May I help you?” Mother asked.
“I am here,” snarled the man, “to inspect your home and your children.”

GardenersCardiff answers:

So Mother answered all Mr. Pointy Nose’s questions to his satisfaction, and he left.

And they grew up to be annoying Fundies who hung out on R&S and perplexed atheists.

Betty asks…

Hi, fellow Senior Citizens today I was wondering if there are any….?

gardeners amongst us?

Do any of you cultivate your own fruit and veg,or grow flowers ?

Hubby and I have a wonderful flower garden and are now quite proficient in growing Floribunda and Tea roses.
Considering we live on the coast we are delighted with the results this year.

How about you, any green fingers amongst us?

GardenersCardiff answers:

My garden is a bit unusual, but thriving. Turnips, parsnips, cucumbers, squash, peas, brockley, brussel sprouts, cabbage, water melons, cantaloupe, musk melons, crenshaw melons, potatoes, lettuce, chard, corn, sun chokes, seedless grapes, and the trees are loaded with apricots, plumbs, and cherries. It’s like a jungle out there. It’s my retreat.

Joseph asks…

Why cant marijuana be legalized if………………….?

Alcohol and cigarettes and so many legal drugs are legal if they kill far more than marijuana? People say that since they cant tax it because then people would just grow their own? What about alcohol? People could easily make their alcohol and beer and liquor (moonshining) and theres no problem keeping alcohol legal. People could easily grow their own tobacco but they dont have a problem keeping that legal and people will still buy it taxed. People could grow their own fruits and vegetables, why not make that illegal? Theres other legal drugs like datura and saliva which can easily get a person intoxicated and crazy, yet thats perfectly legal! You can make your own ginger for tea and feel better, why not make that illegal? Whats this whole fascination with marijuana and trying to keep it illegal? Wanting to keeping illegal is almost like supporting the dangerous drug dealers and drug cartels and the black market of drugs. What do you think will happen to that black market if those drugs were legalized?
How can anyone support freedom and liberty and also support the law on drugs when law abiding citezens should have the choice of them especially if they are responsible with it?
Whats the big deal and whats the problem why marijuana cant be legalized? What about peoples rights?

GardenersCardiff answers:

Hi. Your right. It is Double Standard. Many do not want to legalize it I think due to fear that those who use it would just do it all day and not work and be responsible in other areas of their life. It’s the same with alcohol though people abuse it and it’s legal. I think we each are accountable for our own actions. Peace
