Should real Conservatives be for decriminalization of marijuana?
Decriminalization of marijuana would lead to saving tax payer money as we wouldn’t need to enforce the law, nor would we need to pay to lock users up.
It should reduce crime as dealers would be put out of business if people could grow their own.
It would add to freedoms as right now you are not free to grow a plant.
It could add to jobs and manufacturing as hemp products may increase.

The war on drugs is a dismal failure, and has been since its inception. Everyone should be in favor of decriminalizing. Tax & regulate like alcohol and tobacco; it’s been shown to be less harmful than either. Reschedule so that medical use is an approved use as studies have proven it a helpful drug in many different applications.

How many cigarettes can you make from a pound of tobacco?
I have about 100 pounds of tobacco ready to be made into cigarettes and I’m trying to figure out the value of the stuff. I hear $4 a pound, but that seems crazy since a pack of cigarettes is $7 nowadays.
Thanks, I’m actually looking into exporting it since I have a friend in Eastern Europe where cigarettes are VERY expensive. It will cost about $4/pound to ship it there in small parcels or about $2/pound if I can air freight it

The value of your tobacco depends on more than weight. Has it been aged any? Is it a blend? Is it one variety? The $4 a pound you are hearing is the general price the farms get out of their product. That varies from year to year but not by a lot.
Generally speaking home rolled smokes will use somewhere around 6 oz to a carton. That’s just generally speaking and some people will use more and some less. You are looking at around 266 cartons of cigarettes.
Be aware that growing tobacco for your own use is legal in all US states but selling it is not. There is a small growing black market for tobacco but the fines are considerable if you get caught.
Buying rolling tobacco in the stores will run anywhere from $4 for a 1 1/2 oz packet, (rather expensive), to $23-$32 for an 8 oz bag. It will vary greatly in price depending on where you live and the name brand.
What I am saying is that your tobacco is worth exactly what someone else is willing to pay for it. That may be more than you think or less.

How do I find an Earth-friendly method of roli poli control in my garden?
This year marks my first attempt to grow my own tomatoes and squash. It’s so much fun and everything is going beautifully…except for the persistent roli poli problem. They crawl inside the squash blooms and nibble on the squash causing them to die. I really want a healthy garden, and I don’t want to eat veggies chocked full of chemicals and pesticides. It’s been organic for 3 months. Can I maintain it that way??

I would use Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) but you may not want to. So spray the area with this one of these solutions from Jerry Baker.
Basic Oil Mixture
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tbsp. Murphy’s Oil Soap
Pour the oil and oil soap into a plastic bottle, and store at room temperature. Mix 1 tbsp. Of the mixture in 2 cups of water in a hand-held sprayer bottle. Spray pest ridden plants from top to bottom.
Bug Spray – Tabasco Tonic
1 c liquid dish soap
1 c tobacco tea *
1 c antiseptic mouthwash
1/4 c Tabasco Sauce
Mix ingredients in a 20 gallon hose-end sprayer, filling the balance of the sprayer jar with warm water.
* Tobacco Tea
Place 3 fingers of chewing tobacco in a nylon stocking and soak it in a gallon of hot water until the mixture is dark brown.

Will growing my own tobacco be less harmful for me?
I know that smoking is bad. So please do not preach to me. I want you to respect my decision as I respect yours.
So, if I grow my own tobacco, and dry it to make my own cigarettes, will it be safer for me? It will not contain any harmful chemicals except for nicotine. Could I still get cancer? Will it make it less likely that I will get caner? scientific research and studies would be great.

When nicotine mixes with your saliva & enters your bloodstream, it increases your chances of getting mouth, tongue, gum, throat, lung or pancreatic cancer.
It can also interrupt blood flow to your penis resulting in diminished sex drive & cause erectile dysfunction or impotence. – but – I forgot – you already KNEW that! Right?

My friend smokes and she doesnt really have the money so i was wondering is it illegal for her to grow her own tobacco
What about a liscence, do you need one to grow it legally?

Is hydrogen peroxide naturally found in tobacco or is it added?
I am curious to learn if hydrogen peroxide is found naturally in tobacco or if it is added by tobacco producing companies. Also what other oxides are found in tobacco and are they found naturally in it or are they added? Will growing ones own tobacco eliminate these oxides which are the main causes of cancer, emphysema and other illnesses caused by cigarettes? Please don’t advise me to quit as I am already in the process of doing so and am just curious. Thanks for all the help.

It isn’t found naturally, and it isn’t added by tobacco companies. Burning the tobacco creates OH free radicals by homolytically breaking C-O bonds in the sugars and sugar polymers (cellulose, for example) that give the leaves their structure. Two OH radicals can combine to form hydrogen peroxide, but the real damage is caused by the OH radicals themselves – the danger of peroxide is that the O-O bond is easily cleaved to form two OH radicals which can do a lot of oxidative damage.
Growing your own baccy won’t change a thing. If you’re a cigarette smoker you might want to start rolling your own, though. Tobacco companies do add nitrates and nitrites to tobacco and to cigarette paper so that the cigarette burns evenly (and of course burns away without going out if you set it down, so you’ll have to light another one.) These are also carcinogens, which you won’t find in rolling tobacco or in retail cigarette papers.
