Donna asks…
Was wondering, what type of edible plants I can grow in an apartment with a northern exposure in zone 3. Suggestions would be great.
I know the problem will be sunlight. It’s limited. The exposure is less than ideal. It figures since this apartment was a swap once I moved in for another I agreed to with a southern exposure.
If you have a sunny window, herbs, lettuces, radish, spinach, chard, tomatoes, peppers are all doable. Mostly you’ll be limited by size. Pumpkins, which grow 15 foot vines, may be impractical.
But the big hurdle is enough sun.
