Thelashop sells good grow lights. I purchased my indoor gardening equipments from it and think it’s kinda reliable in this kind of products. Btw hope you know what your uncle need before purchase, cus there are something important to consider, such as the type of the plant and the size of room he’s going to plant in.

I do order from Jung’s too, and Vermont Bean Seed Company. But my favorite is a little company from Maine called Pine Tree Seeds. They have the lowest prices & shipping, overall, and they ship at the right time if you order live products (such as I ordered blueberry bushes last year). Do NOT order from Henry Field’s or Gurney’s – they are the same company – they have sent me seed contaminated with other varieties twice, ruining my crop of edible podded peas by mixing in garden peas (so I never knew when I chewed on one if it was edible or not, so I couldn’t stir fry). Also, Henry Field’s sent me blueberry bushes in April in northern Minnesota & my ground was frozen, so I lost them. Pine Tree didn’t send them until a month later, at the right time.

This is a hearty grass that will go dormant in the winter as most grasses do. I’m not sure if you can water it during the winter to keep it green as some grasses will do this. The reason this particular grass does so well is because it grows sideways and not straight up.

The plugs will take time to establish themselves in your yard, and you have to water quite often to get them started. I would check out a sod company and see if they have this variety.

I have bermuda in my back yard and St. Augustine everywhere else. These are also good grasses that can easily be taken care of if you take the time.

However, I would avoid buying from Michigan Bulb – lousy service, and their plants and bulbs are substandard. I once ordered several varieties of bulbs from them and only a few of one variety actually grew. They have a really poor track record.
