Can you use dried rose petals that you let air dry off your own rosebush?
Want to make rose petal tea.I use no pesticides on them.I grew them.Saved the whole flower and stem.In a vase they are dried.Can I make the tea from those petals?

I used to dry rose petals for placing in clothes drawers and making tea until a friend commented on getting in touch with my feminine side. Haven’t done it since.
Yes, you can air dry the rose petal and it can be used to scent clothes in your dresser drawer, or to make tea. If you are going to use them for dresser drawers, they retain more scent when they are dried quickly.

where can you buy actual opium poppy where the opium can be extracted, and what are the legalities of it?
i was just wondering for educational purposes only, i was a herion addict now coming off methadone and i was wondering if you could actually grow your own plants and make like a poppy tea, or opium or any other derivitives of the opium flower. i understand making the drugs would be illegal and i would never put my self in a situation like that, but i guess im wondering how its done and if it can be done in the US.

You can easily get the seeds fro a seed merchant. The opium poppy is quite spectacular in terms of size and colour. It doesn’t last long as a flower though, unless you pick it really early.
Where do you think you get the poppy seeds from for your bagels?
“The poppies in the USA are only the non-opium producing poppies” Not true, you can buy Papaver somniferum in the US perfectly legally and grow them.

Atlanta Tea Party Follow-Up Action Items
April 17, 2009
Thank you so much for attending the Atlanta Tax Day Tea Party and helping making it such an amazing success! As I said last night, the event exceeded my wildest dreams!
At present time, our calculations are a crowd of about 15,000 – 20,000 people. The last Capitol Policeman I spoke with said that it was difficult for them to get an accurate estimate as the crowd grew so large. I was told that Sean Hannity reported 20,000+ so his staff may have had a more accurate estimate that I did.
At present time, the nationwide effort shows over 800 Tea Parties with a total crowd of 1 million to 1.2 million nationwide. The numbers are still being crunched and that number may be re-tabulated.
We have four immediate actions:
1. We need your feedback on the demonstration
2. We need your photos and video
3. Go to teapartypatriots.org to watch for updates for the Tea Party Movement and AtlantaTeaParty.net for specific information related to Atlanta’s Tea Party efforts.
4. Smart Girl Politics Meet and Greet tomorrow night, Saturday, April 18th, at La Paz in Vinings at 6:00 PM.

Tea Party Patriots is now the official name of the Nationwide Tea Party Movement. You can check out the website at http://teapartypatriots.org. The site is currently being built. Local organizers will be able to load their own tea parties. In the coming weeks, a social networking community will be setup within the site. Be sure to check it out for information about the National Movement. Also, be sure to continue using atlantateaparty.net to get updates on the Atlanta Tea Party as we continue to grow. We are going to redesign the Atlanta Tea Party site to make it more user friendly. One of our goals for the site, is to make sure that it is easier to see the County Coordinators so that you can connect with other Tea Party Patriots in your own community.

I’m not sure there would be an ability to get a very accurate count.
I heard one analyst say that probably the best thing to do is to realize that there were almost 800 locations nationwide, and a good average to use in numbers that attended is 2000, with some places having a few hundred to others having several thousand. That would make a total of 1.6 million. That sounds about right to me.
I like how many are saying that even that many is only about 3% of the population so it’s irrelevant. What they’re missing is that there are many more MILLIONS of us that fully support what the TEA Party’s are all about but couldn’t go because of work or family obligations.
I’ll put it this way. 48% of voters voted against Obama. That means at least 48% are in agreement with the TEA Party’s movement. That would equate to around 58,560,000 since at last count over 122 million people voted in the last election.
Irrelevant? I don’t think so. I think we’re seeing actual history in the making.
