Your Questions About Gardening

Mary asks…

what is your ideal scenary, your personal heaven.?

Here’s mine.

By the great snowy mountains, near the ocean and stands out in the middle of the pine trees and oaks. Blankets of snow covers the land. A small cabin, with thin wisps of smoke from a chimmeny.
We can view the ocean near us. we rest on the hill. the patches of growing vegetables grows underneath the small roof we’ve made.
On the patio, a small fluffy kitten nestles in my lap. I hold a cup of coffee. Sweet smell of the significent other’s sweet smell, and the smell of pines.
we can hear the crackle in the fireplace. My significent other held me as we sat on the lover’s swing.
Nothing of importance besides each other disturbs me or my significent other. As if we have found ourselves an enternal peace.
A wolf walks through the woods, the hawk soars with pride and solitude in the air it owns. On the roof and shingles were patches of snow, icicles forms on the edges.
If only one day this can happen for me.

So how about you fellas?

GardenersCardiff answers:

Hey mystic_lo…,

Finally a fun question.

Scenery in my personal heaven would include the things I know and love about this earth. Great tropical ocean beach with the perfect beach and waves for Boggie Boards, surf casting and shades of blue water on white sand with shadows and wave glares like mirrors. On one side of the beach I have Tropical waterfalls with plants to match cascading into the ocean. On the other side I have Giant Redwood and Sequoia trees, with the wafting of their purity of air. Behind me will be the Grand Tetons or some reasonable facilime.

It is time for dinner now, enjoy.

Daniel asks…

how thoroughly do you clean your house/apt?

i know this sounds odd, but i never really cleaned growing up (i was spoiled, i know). i’m living on my own now (well, with roommates), and trying to keep a fairly clean house, but i’m a total slob.

my question is, when you clean rooms (like your kitchen or bathroom) do you move small appliances like coffee makers to clean under and behind them, or only once every few months? do you clean in every little crevice, nook and cranny all the time, or just for spring/winter cleaning. how often do you scrub the walls, or the sides of the fridge? that sort of thing.

i know people are different, but i’m not sure what is normal. i don’t really have time to clean a lot since i work, and i live with 2 guys who are fairly sloppy so it makes it that much harder (they WILL clean if nagged enough, but sometimes it’s just easier to do it myself).

i just don’t want people to be disgusted when they walk into the house.

GardenersCardiff answers:

Okay, I am only fourteen years of age, but I have to clean around the house now and again, my mum is a complete clean freak this is a guide on experience of what my mum does and what is really necessary (:

Kitchen:
Hoover everyday, if you have pets if they are pets which leave alot of mess, eg. Hair twice. If your floor isn’t visibly dirty then every two.

Hard floor’s or tiling, mop them every week, again depending or every two weeks. Whack abit of cleaner in their. Picking up objects every four days, unless messy of course.

Wipe kitchen surfaces everyday, and after like major cooking. Use anti-bacterial spray (its great (:)

Rinse out sink, clean with a limescale cleaner specially formulated for the taps. Daily, just a quick wipe round with a cloth.

Fridge, well remember to every time you do a big shop, check through it for gone off stuff, and wipe around monthly.

Polish, every three days. Every 2 weeks do it with a damp cloth it is really good as it stops dust where as polish just makes it fly around and settlle somewhere else. You can polish the TV.

Keep cupboards with an order once you got it you can keep to it no worries.

Mirrors? Just wipe over with a dry cloth.

Give your bin a wipe over the lid every time you empty it.

Living Room,
Hoover daily with pets or dirty housemates or twice if clean.

Polish like in kitchen.

Hoover sofas whenever they are dirty.

Bedrooms,
Every two weeks, change your bed this involves stripping matress cover, and pillowcases as well as duvet cover.

Hoover bed if you want, you don’t have to.

Polish same as kitchen.

Wipe down window sills if they have any condensation.

Just keep it tidy as you go, like picking up bits.

Bathroom,
Floors hoover, or if they are hard mop same as kitchen.

Sinks same as kitchen.

With the bath use ciff cream around it and wipe then rinse it off.

Toilet (ewww) chuck some toilet cleaner round the rim leave for 20mins or longer then flush. Wipe the seat and around with a cloth.

Tiled walls, wipe off with bathroom cleaner (spray).

Stop room’s steaming up while in the bath or shower by opening a window.

I think eventually that is it, well you know the rest I hope, it looks really long but it wont take you that long.
GoodLuckk and tell your housemates to be cleaner (:

Paul asks…

What laws do you believe to be unreasonable and what laws do you believe should be changed?

First of all, I think that (the elephant in the room) marijuana should be legalized. In my opinion, they should have federally produced marijuana with less T.H.C in it (a lot of privately made marijuana is made with a dangerous amount of T.H.C) which they would tax and sell in common places like coffee shops. Then use the profits to help with the country’s debt. They’d make a LOT of money, not only because of people that buy it for recreational purposes but for supply and demand purposes. Using hemp fibers to make paper is a cheap, effective, and environmentally friendly alternative to using wood pulp. Hemp plants grow back faster than trees do and its easier to make an artificial biome for hemp to grow in than it is for trees. It’s difficult and expensive to preserve entire forests yet you can grow marijuana in your closet. We would also put a lot of high end drug cartels out of business which is a bonus.

Secondly, lower the drinking age from 21 to 18. I think that if the government sees you as old enough to sign legal documents, join the military, get shipped off to war, move out and live on your own, get a job, go to college, get married, have children, drive, etc. then you are old enough to handle an alcoholic beverage. It also makes more sense to me to have 18 be a benchmark for a lot of the laws. If that’s the age the government has said they recognize you as an adult as then they should fucking act like it.

What are your thoughts?

GardenersCardiff answers:

It would be easier for me to provide a list of laws which I think would be reasonable. The simpler, the better. Same goes for taxation.

MOST of the laws and regulations in effect now should be eliminated, in my opinion.

EDIT: Except for the laws governing government (i.e. The Bill of Rights), which should be strictly enforced.
