My grandfather is retiring soon and we are planning a surprise party. What kind of gifts should we buy him?
We were thinking a massage chair or a new computer. He is into gardening and sports.

I honestly think you are the only one who can really know what to buy your grandfather. Think of what he needs, it would seem you have a lot of money on your hands if you plan on buying a new computer… But think it through, what would your grandfather like?
If he realllly loves gardening then ask him around what he wanted to have, but i think you should just think. There is no point in getting him a computer if you know he isn’t going to use it… Better get something he would like and i think you are the only one who knows the entire story and your grandfather so think of something ^^

Is it appropriate to give little gifts to children you babysit?
I babysit two girls, three days a week, almost every week in the summer. I found Sillybands (not name-brand) for a dollar, so I bought them each a pack. I also found “classic” children’s books (A Little Princess, Secret Garden, etc) for a dollar, so I got three of them, and plan on giving one to the oldest girl.
Is it inappropriate to be giving them little gifts? They’re only a dollar, but the family doesn’t know that!

I don’t think it is inappropriate. I use to babysit pretty often and I would buy little things like that for the kids I babysat. If you feel like it may be a problem, just ask the parents where the children cant hear if its okay for you to give them those things. Don’t worry about the price. The kids don’t know the difference, and with children, it really is the thought that counts.

Can I take a Olive Garden Gift Card Back to Olive Garden and get the money back?
I got a 25$ Olive Garden Gift Card for xmas and i wanted to know can i take it to them and get the 25$

No! Maybe give it back to the person who gave it to you. Perhaps they could use it, or give it to someone who would appreciate it. Yes, you could use one of those sites that buys them from you, but they don’t pay the full value of the card. Here’s a crazy idea… Go to Olive Garden and use it! You could go with a friend and share it. Pay the check using the gift card, then have your friend pay his/her half of the bill minus the $25. That way, not only are you using the gift, but you’re sharing it with someone else.
