Can someone suggest a good gift for a mother-in-law who loves gardening?

Www.highcountrygardens.com has a gift selection with some ideas. Without knowing what type of plants she grows, it’s hard to give you ideas. For example rose growers are faced with thorns when pruning. Speciality long cuff gloves are most welcome as are those Felco pruners someone else mentioned.
If she buys plants and fertilizers from a local nursery, a gift certificate along with perhaps a nice amaryllis bulb in a pretty pot would be fine.
I thought a couple yards of compost dumped in the driveway would be a great gift……but then I’m a bit cracked. Now that 20 year old garden assistant sounds wonderful!

Her likes/dislikes:
Likes crafts(sewing, etc) outdoors, gardening, photography.
Dislikes new age technology, anything extremely frivolous (perfumes, jewlery etc.)
She’s the kinda Mom who tells you to not buy her anything, but you do because she’s a good person. Thanks for your feedback and ideas. I really want to make it special.

I have an idear, hope it will help you.
Why not use her photo collections to make a photo mosaic so that she can hang it on the wall and watch the works of herself everyday.
It means you can use her photos as the cell photo to make a large pircture.
It’s really a spical and sweet gift.I’ve made a photo mosaic of a couple and show it at their wedding day, and it surprise all the guests.

Are these good gifts for a college student?
So I want to get my nephew something cool to show off to his frineds at school. He is living in a small house and I want to get him some garden gnomes to put aruond the house and outside. Is that considered a cool gift? His hobbies include magic, magnets, and glitter. Does this gift match his persontality?
