and the sunflowers seeds, the kind ppl eat as food, can those be planted and grow into a sunflower?

Now back to your question. Yes , if the seeds have fallen off from its head of the Sunflower, it will grow into another sunflower. Pretty cool , huh?!

When did we develop this idea that wealth is a finite resource?
Wealth can be created anywhere out of anything as long as it has value. The wealth you do have can be invested and created into more wealth (why the rich can get richer). I will give you a easy example I have a vegetable garden and if I chose to sell my vegetable at a farmers market, I would make profit which equals wealth with I could spend on goods or services or re-invest in my garden to produce more vegetables to acquire more profit. There is never a fixed supply of wealth.

The earth is not infinite. But it renews itself. There has been speculation since the 1970s that we are destroying more than is renewed or is good for our habitat. That is all.

What plants would make a good informal screen?
I live in zone 7. I would like to create a 8-10 foot informal screen that covers 40 yards. I am not patient or wealthy. Any suggestions for plant choices?

I love mixed hedging, which gives the most informal appearance, rather than a uniform single plant type, planted all along it. You can have a mix of evergreen, deciduous and flowering plants growing amongst your screen, giving you amazing, though functional, privacy.
The common Laurel bush is a fairly cheap, though fast growing hedging plant, that would ultimately grow to 25′ or so, if left unpruned. It needs to be pruned, rather than cut with a hedge trimmer, to retain its beauty. Http://www.findmeplants.co.uk/plant-prunus-laurocerasus-0208.aspx
Purple beech is a deciduous plant, that retains its dead leaves during the winter, retaining your privacy. It has deep purple leaves that look great during the summer months, though is slower growing than Laurel, but will add colour contrast. Http://www.hedging.co.uk/acatalog/product_10134.html
Some shrub roses will add some colour for you, coming in a range of colours – these are deciduous, losing most leaves in winter, but are fantastic when mixed in amongst other plants. Bamboo is attractive, but is a little more expensive than these other plants, so probably out or your total budget range.
Buddleia is another cheap fast growing plant, that will grow to 10′ in 2 or 3 years, and smothers itself in flowers that butterflies and bees love. Colours range from white, pinks, red and purple.
