If growing weed is illegal in the UK, why do some smoke shops sell the seeds?
I have smoked weed before, however, have never thought of growing the stuff. If I were to row it, it would be by all means for my own use when I’m chilling. I don’t understand, I know that you cannot get arrested for a small amount on you for self use, but growers get a jail sentence of 14 years, why do they encourage this by selling the seeds in smoke shops. Because if that’s legal in any way then I’m doing it.

The UK has some odd laws it must be said.
Growing cannabis is illegal – but selling the seeds are not – therefore sellers sell seeds (bit of a tongue twister) because there is a demand for them – some folks grown them even if not permitted to.
Here’s the real kicker though – growing cannabis is illegal – but growing an opium poppy isn’t. It IS illegal to harvest it and prepare it etc etc – but folks can legally grow them.
There used to be a safeish legal alternative called JWH-018 but the UK made it illegal about a year ago – so the price has gone up (as dealers can now make a profit on it), the quality has gone down, and it tends to be mixed with other things. So more harmful, more crime needed to pay for it and more medical compications from using it. Can we say “own goal?”
The upshot is that there are now some slightly less safe alternatives which are about – but these too will seeon be criminalised and each time, the “next best legal alternative” is a little more risky.
So, just like the seeds are legal, germinating them isn’t – don’t expect much intelligence with UK drug laws – after all we had a glorified primary school teacher sacking drug experts because she didn’t like the truth. Hence why most young people have rightly become HUGELY distrusting of the offical “drug information”.
Sorry to ramble on, I think I answered your question in there (it is sold because there is a demand for it and the shops want to make profit – and the law is a bit illogical) – the whole drug issue in the UK is based on 4 decades of failed policy – and spinless politicians not prepared to do anything about it unless the “red-top” media tell them to (sun, mirror etc).

Is it legal to purchase marijuana seeds online in the USA?
Okay, I only want mature answers from educated people of the law. Here is some information. I live in Colorado, as you know recently a law has passed where in Colorado and Washington you can own an ounce of marijuana as long as you’re above the age of 21. What about seeds? Obviously growing a plant can exceed an ounce, but who has to know I have a weed plant? Anyways, I’d like to purchase some seeds online for my 21st birthday. Would that be legal? I’d love to grow my own stuff so I don’t have to spend that much. Also my friends would be stoked. I even already talked to my mom, which is okay for me to do so.

Plants that will grow by just sprinkling seeds?
I have an area in my backyard that is extremely barren with very dry, packed soil. I can’t dig it up and till it because there are power boxes and wires buried in the area so I’m thinking I’ll just fill it in with top soil and such.
But my question is what kinds of things can I plant back there that will grow on their own and fill in the area without much care?
It’s difficult to get back there with water and other stuff so I need something that will grow easily and reproduce by itself.
I live in Denver, if that matters.

Wild flower seeds. You toss them every which way then walk around on top of them to press them into the soil. Do not bury the seeds just leave them on the surface. Keep the ground wet until they are at lease and inch or so high. Get the annual type flowers so next year you can clean out any weeds by just scraping them out with a hoe then reseed as above. As the flowers grow they produce seed pods. When they dry up collect the pods and store the seeds for next year….. Just make sure you get seeds for your neck of the woods. Perennial flowers take over and block the others from coming up so stick with the annual ones….
Get the mixes and mix them together so you have many different flowers and sow them real thick. That way the early one will block others but after they die off the blocked ones come out. You end up with flowers all season long. At the end after collecting the seed pods just mow them down and leave the cutting where they lay…. More seeds for next year and mulch….
