How to Delete Applications on Facebook

Want to get rid of a Facebook application? This guide will show you how to do it.

Once you have logged in to Facebook, click on the Account button at the top right of the page and then select the option that says “Privacy Settings.”

Once you have done this, near the bottom left of the page, click on the link that says “Edit your settings.”

Now, at the right extreme of the “Apps you use” area, click on the button that says “Edit Settings.”

Once you have clicked on that button, you will see a list of all the applications you have authorized. On that list, click on the x at the right extreme of the app you want to remove. The system will ask you to confirm the action, and then the application will be removed from your account, which means that it will no longer have access to your data.

Lizzie asks…

A question about growing and pricing vegetables for a garden stand.?

Hello! My first question is regarding the time it takes to start tomatoes from seed. How long does it take for beefsteak tomato seeds to germinate after you plant them? Also, I recently planted a few tomato seeds here in Oklahoma (March 17th) and I was wondering how long it would take for them to reach a size near what you might buy in a nursery. If I am too late, can I sell them when they reach the desired size?

Next, in my garden for my farm stand, I plant to sell all the vegetables. The garden is approximately 200ft by 150ft so I do not need to worry about running out of produce but if you would, please give me a recommended price for each item listed below.

Beefsteak tomato (each):
Bell Pepper (each):
White Onion (each):
Radishes (10 in a bunch):
Lettuce (1 gallon Zip-Lock bag):
Cucumber (each):
Pickling Cucumbers (3 in a bunch):
Yellow Crooked-neck Squash (each):
Zucchini (each):
Green Beans (1 quart Zip-Lock bag):
Eggplant (each):
Cantaloupe (each):
Turnips (3 in a bunch):
Turnip Greens (1 gallon Zip-Lock bag):

Thanks a bunch!

Wow a tiny market garden, if you are successful you will run out of produce as a decent market garden is usually a couple of acres, mine is 4 acres.

It takes tomatoes about 4 to 5 weeks to be of a decent size for selling as seedlings, personally I don’t like such seedlings to be more than 3 sets of true leaves but most people want a seedling with 4 to 10 sets of true leaves. The bigger the plant the more time and money you have in it. I assume you are keeping track of every penny you spend on this endeavor, other wise you will likely lose money as the income you make is your gross income and your net (the actual income) is what is left over after you pay expenses.

Pricing, I suggest you go to a couple of farmers markets and every grocery that has a produce dept and start recording prices and from that you should get a feel for what is charged for produce in your area. You also need to take into account what your costs are for growing and marketing the food. BTW you will need to spend at least 60% of your time marketing the produce. Without good marketing (advertising) few people will stop by your stand. At the very least put up fliers, get a blog and get a facebook page for your farm stand. Developing an email list of clients is also incredibly helpful. Do not expect to make any profit from this the first couple of years. If you have a farmers market near you (within an hour) I suggest going that route to sell vegetables, you will make a lot more money and be able to build a customer base far more quickly

What sites are best for looking to work from home opportunities?

Iam looking to replace my minimum wage job with a stay at home career, I know people earn $ doing different things from there own home. I would like to find out where to look for reliable work that isnt some scam or get rich scheme just a way to make a 400.00-500.00 dollars a month without having to wade through all the false leads most sites end up bieng.I live in a rural area where high speed internet is unavailable but I have lots of spare time and I love to read, garden, watch movies. Im still pretty new to the computer world but Im learning
and am open minded to new ideas for earning some extra money.

GardenersCardiff answers:

Rather than looking at specific opportunities right away, you should start out by figuring out what type of work at home you want to do.

Without high speed Internet, it will probably be very difficult to find a work at home job. But one of the best sites I know with reliable information about WAH jobs is
http://www.telecommutingmoms.com/

The alternative is to start your own home business and there are many avenues to consider.

Do you want to go into direct sales or “start from scratch” with you own idea? There are some in between choices too, like affiliate marketing. Think about your skills and interests and how you might use them to start a home business.

For example, you mentioned that you love to garden. One option would be to write an ebook about gardening and sell it online. Or set up a gardening blog and monetize it with contextual advertising and/or affiliate product sales.

Here are some other resources that will help you figure out what’s available and what you might like to do:

It’s true… There are many schemes and scams out there, but if you spend some time researching your options you’ll find something that’s right for you. Be sure to use your common sense too!

Good luck!
