I’m trying to grow oyster mushrooms right now. I’ve not had luck as of yet but I understand that it can require a lot of waiting. I bought a kit that consists of a small log with holes drilled into it. The holes filled with spores packed into what appears to be sawdust. I bought it at my local co-op about four months ago and I’m still waiting for signs of life.

I’ve been told by someone that grows mushrooms as a hobby that I will probably have better luck ordering kits from Fungi Perfecti. Http://www.fungi.com/

Get a mushroom growing kit and some magic mushrooms. Use the magic mushrooms as the spores and keep moist. Mushrooms don’t need light to grow and will grow in your cupboard.
