Buddy, you answered your own question. They are insecure. They try to make themselves feel better by cutting someone else down.
With age ( I am 35) a lot of girls grow into their own skin and get passed that. I know a lot of my friends that I met in my early 20’s are over that now. But back in the day of bar hopping, going out, clubs and college…girls were little cats. Catty catty catty.
Like I said they are just insecure, not comfortable with themselves and need to cut others down to feel better about themselves.
I am willing to bet any amount of money that this or these girls you talk about also cut themselves down. Does she do the “I’m fat” thing all the time. Probably.

This is why Aston Kutcher is with Demi Moore and not a 21 year old. Ahahahaha

I think because during the time aaliyah had been producing hit after hit and it was a shock to so many people because she’d already died before actually completing the album (the music videos) i think another shock was that her death was no where near her fault like tupac and B.I.G kept on rivalling and u know it would’ve lead to a big problem, or michael jackson- the amount of drugs he took was gonna total his health eventually, she died because of the pilot of the plane being high and too much weight on the plane

I think she was also loved so much because of beginning her career at such an early age so it was like seeing her grow up and die at such an early age and i think that the people who actually say the princess or queen miss the hip/hop or RnB made at that time (artists who claim to make RnB end up making dance/electropop) and if shed been alive still the music would of stayed the same meaning that singers who made dance like songs would’ve of been able to achieve success. But i guess i still miss her and the music she makes too.
