How can I get into a good university?
I wanna go to u of m or a university of Toronto. I’m getting ready to get my diploma from penn foster and I highly doubt either of those schools will accept a diploma from there and I’m not the smartest flower in the garden when it comes to math. What can I do? I didn’t take any act or sat test anytime and I have no one to prep me for them and I think I’m going to need to do good on those test for me to get in to those schools.
It is completely understandable to be lost when you have to come up with a study method for these tests on your own but there are several things you can do to help yourself out. There are many different programs, strategies, and books out there and you may have to do a little digging and searching to find out which methods / programs are best for you. There are a number of free sources available to students looking for guidance with similar issues. You should check out The College Board’s official website as well as free blogs such as the one on TeachYourselftheSAT.com. Hopefully after a little research and free guidance you can find a method that works for you and will help you prep yourself for the tests.
Another great tip: studying vocabulary seemed to help me out a lot on my Reading and Writing scores and that is something simple you can do at home during some downtime. There are certain free websites like Vivid Vocab that will help you out with the vocabulary for the SAT.
How to research purchase history of a website?
Say I want to purchase an established forum, like Garden Web from ivillage (an NBC affiliate) or BlogShares of Santa Cruz Tech. These communities have already changed hands several times. How would I find out what those websites are worth before offering to buy them?
it is definitely a difficult task to evaluate the value of a website. I had to do do this a few times myself, before I purchased websites, forums and communities. First, you my try one of the free evaluation services in the internet, for instance the following:
You should consider following factors for calculating the website value:
- Domain value
- Source of Traffic
- Link Popularity
- Registered Users
- Keyword Results in the SERPs
- Monthly Earnings (value of the website is around 36 times the monthly earnings)
- Earning potential
It is strange that the owner has changes so many times. Maybe you should do a thorough investigation on the website via Google. Look for reviews, forum entries and the like.
It is pivotal that the website is in good standing and that is has a good reputation.
You may also try to have a look on http://flippa.com. Search for similar websites and forums and have a look on the prize, bidding history…
I hope this information helps.
